THE SHORT ANSWER

A managed marketing data service combines source connections, storage, transformation, and defined access to prepared data. On Beat Digital scopes these services around the client’s reporting needs, source permissions, consumer tools, and operating responsibilities.

When reporting depends on recurring manual exports, the problem is usually bigger than the dashboard. A managed service can make the source-to-report path repeatable, provided the data contract and support model are agreed from the start.

Agree the service boundary first

The service specification identifies which source accounts are included, which datasets will be produced, who owns the source permissions, and which decisions the output should support. A proposal becomes an implementation scope through those concrete choices.

Connector lists can include analytics, HubSpot, search, advertising, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other agreed sources. Availability, historical coverage, and refresh expectations are checked per platform rather than promised as one universal capability.

Persistent storage and prepared datasets

A service design can use AWS storage to retain approved source extracts and prepared outputs. Storage, transformation, and serving responsibilities are defined separately so a consumer can understand where its data comes from and when it was refreshed.

Retention, deletion, reprocessing, and ownership need an explicit policy for the engagement. A useful design also distinguishes raw source records from cleaned reporting tables and from any dataset prepared for campaign activation.

API and business-intelligence access

An authenticated REST API can expose a defined subset of prepared data to an approved consumer. Power BI access may use that interface or another agreed dataset path. We select the delivery method around security, refresh, volume, and the reporting model.

The delivery contract describes authentication, authorization, schema, date coverage, filters, and the meaning of each field. It also makes clear what the consumer should do when data is delayed or a source has not yet completed its refresh.

Operate the workflow, not just the code

The operating model identifies monitoring, exception review, credential renewal, source changes, and reporting support. An implementation can be handed over to an internal team or paired with separately scoped ongoing services.

Service hours, response expectations, infrastructure costs, platform fees, and change requests belong in an agreement. We make those choices concrete during scoping so the business can assess the service it is actually buying.

Introduce the service in a useful first phase

A focused first phase can connect the highest-priority sources and deliver one validated reporting dataset. That creates an acceptance point before additional channels, historical imports, or application consumers are added.

The phase should end with a clear explanation of what was delivered, what remains dependent on upstream access, and who operates the result. The next phase follows from business value and verified data readiness rather than a longer list of connectors.

What an engagement can deliver

Service specification
Sources, outputs, ownership, and operating responsibilities.
Phased implementation plan
A practical first dataset and acceptance criteria.
Storage and delivery design
Persistent data, retention, access, and consumer interfaces.
Support and change model
Agreed monitoring, escalation, fees, and ongoing scope.

Questions & answers

Is a managed service the same as a completed client deployment?

No. A proposed service, its implementation, and its ongoing operation are separate stages. The scope and acceptance criteria establish what will be delivered and how it will be supported.

Can our team retain access to its own data?

Data ownership, access, retention, and exit requirements are part of the service design. We agree those responsibilities and the delivery method with the client before implementation.

Do you guarantee a particular refresh interval or support response?

Refresh and support commitments are defined in the specific agreement. They depend on source access, upstream limits, operating hours, and the architecture selected for the service.
