THE SHORT ANSWER
AI implementation connects models and tools to a specific business workflow. Evaluation checks whether the resulting behavior meets agreed criteria. On Beat Digital combines AI consulting, integration work, and its own product-building experience to make those criteria concrete.
A plausible answer is not the same as a supported answer. We focus on the question being asked, the evidence available, the actions a system may take, and how the business will judge whether the implementation is useful.
Relevant experience
We own SatelliteAI and HeySatellite, with ODIN supporting the intelligence ecosystem. Our work also includes reviewing AI outputs and hallucination risks in analytical contexts. Product-building experience informs how we scope a pilot and test behavior around real business tasks.
Define the task and the acceptance criteria
We begin with a bounded problem: investigating data, finding relevant knowledge, preparing a brief, organizing work, or supporting another defined process. The pilot identifies the user, inputs, expected output, and consequences of an incorrect answer or action.
Acceptance criteria can address factual support, completeness, calculation checks, source attribution, usability, and required review. A useful evaluation set includes ordinary cases as well as missing, conflicting, or ambiguous information that should change how the system responds.
Connect models to information and tools
Model services such as Claude can be part of a scoped implementation, alongside retrieval, structured data, business APIs, or other agreed tools. Access to information and authority to act are separate requirements that need deliberate boundaries.
REST and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations can connect an assistant to approved capabilities. The design must specify what a tool can read or change, how the caller is authorized, and where a person reviews consequential actions. Internal operations tooling is treated as an implementation component, not a public product promise.
Evaluate claims, calculations, and evidence
We compare outputs with the source information and the defined task. That can reveal unsupported statements, incorrect associations, missing caveats, calculation errors, or a confident answer where the available evidence was insufficient.
Evaluation can combine structured checks with human judgment. Appen operates in the AI data and evaluation ecosystem; it is distinct from a model service such as Claude. Any use of an external evaluation provider is separately scoped rather than assumed from a discussion of model quality.
Keep content production and business action accountable
Brand voice, claims extraction, content generation, and task workflows should preserve the connection between a proposed output and the people responsible for approving it. The same principle applies when an assistant prepares an analysis or a follow-up action.
We define the review points, retained evidence, and operational ownership appropriate to the workflow. Evaluation reduces uncertainty and identifies failure modes; it is not a guarantee that a system will never make an unsupported statement.
What an engagement can deliver
- Pilot definition
- Task, users, data, tools, and measurable acceptance criteria.
- Integration design
- Information access, allowed actions, and human review points.
- Evaluation set and findings
- Representative cases, quality checks, and observed failure modes.
- Rollout recommendation
- Changes, remaining questions, and operating responsibilities before expansion.
Questions & answers
Can you help identify a useful first AI project?
Yes. We start with the business task, available information, current workflow, and the cost of an error. The first project should be specific enough to evaluate before a wider rollout.
Can evaluation eliminate hallucinations?
No. Evaluation can identify unsupported behavior, measure performance on representative cases, and guide improvements. Source grounding, verification, and appropriate human review remain important parts of the workflow.
Do you build integrations as well as advise on strategy?
Yes. Our offering combines discovery, implementation, data and API integration, evaluation, and team enablement, with scope agreed around the project.
How do SatelliteAI and HeySatellite fit?
SatelliteAI focuses on search, content, and related intelligence workflows. HeySatellite focuses on business data, knowledge, research, and follow-through. We assess where an existing product fits and where a custom integration or implementation is needed.
